Crédit Agricole Asset Management Hong Kong Limited has changed its name to Amundi Hong Kong Limited on 2 March 2010.

This follows the establishment on January 1st this year of Amundi, a joint-venture between Crédit Agricole S.A. and Société Générale, which combined the activities of Crédit Agricole Asset Management (CAAM) and Société Générale Asset Management (SGAM). Amundi Hong Kong Limited will retain the Chinese name.

The new brand, Amundi, conveys the international ambition and evokes durability and universality. The word “Amundi” is based on the Latin word “mundi,” which means “the world, the universe and earth inhabited by men”. Its prefix “Am” refers to our area of expertise, asset management.

Amundi has about €650 billion of assets under management as of September 2009 and is the 3rd largest asset manager in Europe (figures as of 31 December 2008).
