The presentation ceremony of Morningstar Singapore Awards 2013 was successfully held on March 19, 2013. In the opening speech, Ms. Cynthia Case, Vice President of Morningstar Asia, said that the Fund Awards recognize retail funds that added the most value for investors within their relevant peer group in 2012 and over the long term. She also announced that, this year, Morningstar has introduced the Fund House Awards, which awarded one Best Equity Fund House Award in Singapore.
“We are pleased to have a mix of high-quality asset managers winning awards across our equity and fixed-income award categories. Our inaugural fund house award winner, Aberdeen, is a renowned investment house in Singapore, with an excellent track record of delivering strong risk-adjusted returns for investors,” said Grant Kennaway, Head of Asia-Pacific Fund Research for Morningstar.
